All The Glitters Is Not Gold - #134

Oil, gold, import, export, hotel, tourist, tradition, modernism.... money.

A scene on SZR. View towards Business Bay area. These apartments are called Executive Towers and are going for a lot of money. A 2 bed costs approx US$450,000 or so.

Remember the classic song "D.I.S.C.O." - the theme tune for Dubai right now could be "C.R.A.S.H."

Wow! All those lights! It's beautiful, but makes me think about all the electricity being used..... i suppose it's the same in the big cities here. Little old St. Paul is like a small town compared to this.

Very nice photo. Actually $450,000 sounds quite reasonable. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia and condos by the water sell in the millions. Ordinary middle class citizens still have to come up with $300-400 thousand to buy a decent condo throughout the city.
