How To Solve Dubai's Traffic Problem - #126
Dubai has a much publicised traffic problem. Simple trips take hours as you just sit there in a traffic jam / parking lot. People usually think that it is because there is too many cars...
I think I have the solution... The solution to Dubai's traffic problem is to release the controller from this small cell which is located on a street corner in Deira.

Be a welcome relief if, and when the monorail arrives.

Does that controller near Raddison work anywayz..????
I can't imagine the on-going Dubai Metro will work on these busy streets...with so many signs and construction work still going on...
It'z Like Dubai was temporary to match the growing business and they are now Like making a Permanent World class City through massive contruction..
Sounds like a good solution! ;)
i think your solution might just do the trick!
something's not right because dM does not control traffic anymore.. it's upto the RTA now.. so the sign me be old and the traffic controller might be no more :)
Dubai has finally realized that it is in desperate need of a mass transit system. The increasing traffic jams add not only to the frustration of commuters, but is also the main cause of accidents.
Many suggestions have been made from time to time to address the traffic issues, however, the general public was always too skeptical about any plan to be implemented. Luckily, the government pay attention not only in developing Dubai property, but also for traffic problems.
UAE government has announced implementation of multiple projects which, put together, will ease the noose on the traffic issue.
The projects include: Mass Transit Driverless Train system; Expansion of Garhoud Bridge; Dubai-Sharjah Expressway, and Overhauling of Dubai roads.
I don't think it would work because DM has no authority now.Todays accident at Shaikh Zayed road should be an eye opener.RTA is working hard but not in a right way in my point of view.
RTA should keep trying hard and let the DM rest
