Through the square window - #72

A view of Dubai Creek from a window in Sheikh Maktoum's house.

This is a preserved building dating back to the turn of the last century and houses the most amazing collection of Dubai photographs.

The photos from the 1940s through to the late 1960s are stunning and give a great insight into the just mind boggling pace of development...

If you visit, I recommend a trip here.

Will you be showing us some of the photos on display there? Did you get any inspiration? (not that you need it!)

That's a mighty small window, thought you were peaking thru the mailbox first.
Great framing!!

Amazing photo, both for the inside and the outside, with a great framing.
PS - I've decided to be a copy cat. I did flowers today!

You did a great job capturing detail inside and out. Not easy. Very nice.

Hello all,

Restless - thanks, you're too kind.

Charrie - if you make it back here, do go, its photos are so interesting

Eric - I would have loved to, but there were warnings (sometimes I do heed the signs!!) not to take phots as the images were copyrighted. As an amateur photographer I felt I should respect that!

Dutchie - thanks!

Natalie - Thnk you too, nice flowers on your site!

Lisi - thanks! Everything is widescreen nowadays you know!

Jazzy - Welcome back! Thanks.

Ruth - Thank you too...

Cheers,

Bluey

Good thought. On the other hand, the photo of being dragged away by the police would have been interesting too! ;-)
