Spinneys Man - #63

A favourite of mine. Perhaps the first portrait I really tried...

Taken this year at Spinneys (a supermarket like Sainsburys in the UK) in Umm Sequim district of Dubai.

I love his kind face. A man of Pakistani origin that had been in Dubai for over 40 years. The changes he would have seen are amazing...

Beautiful, clean photo. Nice face, too. Great job.

Nice photo. If you notice, I tend not to include people in my shots & I certainly don't think I'd like taking portraits. I like walking round Spinneys. There's one quite handy to where we stay at Golden Sands in Karama.

It's a wonderful portrait. The colours together work well. His skin against the blue garmet and white turbin all work well together. You did a good job of capturing this man!

This is another great portrait, something which you are very comfortable with. Incredibly it has attracted fewer comments than some of your other shots. Just had a look at the wadi, fantastic shot when seen in full size!

I like your shot too. Thus, the model looks friendly.

Thanks to all,

Meg - thanks (I've not forgotten your request...)

Louz - Thank you so much for that, this is what I see exactly.

Gails Man, yes there is a Spinneys there too

Kate - many thanks - it really was a "snap" shot - so I'm pleased that it worked ok. Thanks.

Curly - Cheers! I actually hate taking portraits as I have to speak to people and make them aware of me and the camera, but I have to do it... however I do like the results... so thanks! I just gotta keep trying and they will become second nature I guess!

Matthieu - thanks too!

Bluey.
