Sikka 39 a/k/a Deira Classifieds - #231
It could be classed as vandalism I guess, but I quite like the texture that these home made bill ads give to the street corners in the older parts of town.
It's like the street classified section. You can find many things here, homes, jobs, education, food and more...
I've also seen some pretty odd requests such as "Computer technician required - must be able to play music keyboard"...

Rehearsals For Dubai Urban Ballet Squad - #165
I love the fluid motion of the dancers. This is one world class honed troupe that can really move...

Giftland - #122
A street scene in Deira. I like the guy checking himself out in the centre...
Also a small homage to San Francisco Daily Photo I only wish I had a wide angle lense and a DSLR to even get close to what Manuel does.
P.S. Jan 1st post will be a little later than usual, it will be about 1pm UAE time, I'm camping and wifi don't do the beach...

Falcon Frenzy - #79

Some say that Dubai lacks culture and to some degree they could be right.
However Dubai does do street art quite well. These falcons are individual art works and they are dotted all round the city. There has also been camels and horses previously.
This particular one is made to represent the traditional Arabic red chequered head dress I imagine.
