Theme Day - Dubai Does New York - #243
New York - From The Empire State Building, 2003.
Every month, on the 1st of the month, the City Daily Photoblog family decide on a general theme day.
This month is very unusual for all City Daily Photobloggers - the theme is City Exchange - the theme is post a photo of a city other than yours. It's weird as I'm not that comfortable posting a shot not related in someway to Dubai, though the Daily Photo people thought this would be fun and still relevant so - here we go...
So, my interpretation of this theme is to post 2 shots of New York USA.
Why? Three reasons:
1: We went there on our honeymoon in 2003 and this is when I took these shots
2: It was these shots that really made me think I can take half-decent photos
3: Both me and my lovely wife are going back to New York for a week tomorrow!
(fear not! DubaiDailyPhoto has the world's best button pusher to be second in command, not a day shall be missed)

Great shot! You are a photographer. Keep 'em coming!
Beautiful photo! Enjoy your new stay in NYC!
I was just totally confused when I saw your post. I thought the theme day was about "The idea is not to post a photo of you last vacation in Venice of Mumbay(!), but to show something in your city that could make the visitors think they are on the wrong blog! Good luck!"
But after a quick check on DP it seems like people there dont really know what they want themselves...
great aerial shot bluey! we both posted shots from the same year too.
Such a concrete jungle! Good shot though and love the sign too. Really funny :-)
Nice shot of a big city.
My Theme Day is of a city unto itself, with its own zip code, and a portrait of the "Peashooter" at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Hope you like flying.
oh, amazing shots!
But I really like the second one! i found it clever!
Wow the first shot is so interesting when you click and enlarge and i do like the sign.
Great photo. And a great reason for choosing it - enjoy your next trip.
Are you Chuckeroon or DXBluey?
My new favorite photo, "Please Pray".

I got in late to the list.
Have a great day!!!
Actually, the second photo is much better because it's so funny! I guess you have to be an ex-New Yorker like myself to appreciate it. Happy Theme Day from Maui, Hawaii!
Enjoy your trip to New York and thanks for lining up a button pusher.
